The Travel Plan

OK, the whole Panama Travel Plan is up and ready for all the curious friends and relatives to look at. The number one question that both Dad & I have heard is... "Why Panama?", so I wanted to share a little bit about why it is appealing to me. Most of all, it is not (yet) a crowded, shiny, commercial tourist destination.

I'm sure that this trip will be a real eye-opener for both of us. We all get so stuck in our way of thinking that we forget that there is a World out there, outside of our little sphere of existence. So that is what we are off to see. Maybe it will get our mental juices flowing and help us figure out what we want to be when we grow up...

I'm trying to study up and refresh what little Spanish I know. I'm listening to Spanish lessons while I'm driving and then I listen to more lessons when I get home. Dad got a little Spanish course on CD that he's been studying, too. "Langosta" is the most important word in his vocabulary right now: Lobster. I think he's leaving the rest up to me...
